Congressman Marsha Blackburn ? On the Clinton Foundation’s shady “business” dealings
|This Week From The District
|Fellow Americans –
Thanks for keeping up with the work I’m doing! Just as a reminder, be sure to also check out my Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for the latest.
Good News From Charter Communications
After working with local and state officials as well as providers to increase broadband access, we’re seeing results! Earlier this week, Charter Communications told us it’s going live with broadband service that will pass 1,600 homes in Centerville, TN. Great news as we continue working to expand access across TN07.
It seems like almost every day, there’s a new story about the Clinton Foundation’s shady “business” dealings; I encourage you to read one of the latest HERE . I know this is an important issue and many of you have raised concerns about the appearance of pay-to-play practices. I’m working hard in the House and I’ve asked the FBI, the IRS, and the FTC to conduct a thorough investigation.
“Unaffordable Care Act”
As a lawmaker who voted against the “Unaffordable Care Act,” many of us predicted that the market for health insurance would not evolve as the administration had hoped – and Tennessee is now witnessing this monopoly firsthand. We must get rid of Obamacare and replace it with something Americans can actually afford.
President Obama Must Get Tough on Iran
This week, four Iranian vessels “harassed” a U.S. worship near the Strait of Hormuz despite repeated warnings. This is not only dangerous and reckless, but completely unacceptable. Iran has shown time and time again that it does not respect the United States. President Obama must get tough and take action and let it be known that we will not stand for this type of behavior.
This week has seen far too much tragedy from the devastating floods in Louisiana, the tornadoes in Indiana, and the deadly earthquake in Italy. We join with so many of you who have had loved ones in harm’s way. Before the weekend gets started, I encourage everyone to an extra take a minute or two and pray for the victims and their families, and remind yourself just how precious life is.
